Which images vectorize best?

Logos, icons, drawings, scans of text and other images with clear edges and few colours. Photos can be traced too, but the result looks stylized and the SVG file can be much larger than the JPG.

What is the difference between Vectorize and Embed?

Vectorize recreates the image from vector shapes, so it can be scaled without losing sharpness and edited like a drawing. Embed keeps the original JPG inside the SVG file: it looks exactly the same, but it is still a raster image.

Is my file kept private?

Files are transferred over an encrypted connection and processed on our server. Uploaded files and results are stored for 48 hours, so you can download the result via its link, and are then deleted automatically. You can delete them yourself at any time with the delete button in the “Your files” list.

Is there a limit on the number of images?

There is no fixed limit on the number of images, but very large batches take longer to upload and convert.
