Find the Differences Between Two Texts
Paste the original text on the left and the new version on the right, then click "Compare". The result shows every line that was added, removed or changed, and inside changed lines the exact words that differ are highlighted — ideal for checking edits to contracts, articles, translations, configuration files or code.
View the differences side by side or in one column, and ignore changes in whitespace or letter case when they don't matter. The comparison runs in your browser, so confidential texts are never uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this text compare tool free?
Yes, it is completely free and has no limits.
How are the differences found?
The texts are compared line by line using the longest common subsequence — the same idea as the diff tools programmers use. Lines that were edited are then compared word by word, so you see exactly what changed.
What do “Ignore whitespace” and “Ignore case” do?
With “Ignore whitespace”, lines that differ only in spaces, tabs or indentation count as equal; with “Ignore case”, differences in capitalisation are ignored. Use them to focus on real changes in content.
Are my texts uploaded?
No. The comparison runs entirely in your browser.
