Watermark Your PDF Documents
Upload one or more PDF files and stamp a watermark on their pages: a text such as “Confidential”, “Draft” or “Copy”, or an image such as your company logo. Choose the font, colour, size and transparency, rotate it to any angle, and put it in one of nine positions — or repeat it across the whole page so it can't simply be cropped away.
The watermark is added to the PDF itself as text or an image, so the pages keep their original quality and the document text stays selectable. Files are processed on our server, kept for 48 hours and then deleted automatically — or you can delete them yourself at any time.

Is adding a watermark to a PDF free?
Yes, watermarking your PDF files is completely free, with no limit on the number of files.
Can I use my logo as a watermark?
Yes. Switch to “Image” and choose your logo — a PNG with a transparent background looks best. Set its width as a share of the page width and lower the opacity so the text underneath stays readable.
Should the watermark be over or behind the content?
Over the content it is always visible, even on scanned pages. Behind the content it never covers text, which looks cleaner on text documents — but scans and full-page images hide it.
Can the watermark be removed afterwards?
A determined user with a PDF editor can delete it, as with any watermark. A tiled watermark behind or over the whole page is much harder to remove or crop away than a single one.
Is my file kept private?
Files are transferred over an encrypted connection and processed on our server. Uploaded files and results are stored for 48 hours, so you can download the result via its link, and are then deleted automatically. You can delete them yourself at any time with the delete button in the “Your files” list.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes, uploaded PDF files must be 1 GB or smaller.
