A PDF has fixed pages that are hard to read on a small e-reader screen. This tool extracts the text and images of your PDF and builds a MOBI (Mobipocket) e-book from them: the text flows to fit the screen, and you can change the font size on your reader. MOBI opens on every Kindle ever made and in many other e-book apps; for newer Kindles, AZW3 keeps richer formatting. The book gets the name of your file as its title. For scanned PDFs, turn on text recognition (OCR) in the settings.

The conversion happens on our server: your file is uploaded, converted, and the resulting MOBI file is streamed back to you for download. Your files are then kept for 48 hours and deleted automatically — or you can delete them yourself at any time.

How do I put the book on my Kindle?

Connect the Kindle to your computer with a USB cable and copy the MOBI file into its "documents" folder — the book appears in your library. Amazon's Send to Kindle service no longer accepts MOBI files; for sending by email or app, convert PDF to EPUB instead.

Is my file kept private?

Files are transferred over an encrypted connection and processed on our server. Uploaded files and results are stored for 48 hours, so you can download the result via its link, and are then deleted automatically. You can delete them yourself at any time with the delete button in the “Your files” list.

Is there a file size limit?

Yes, uploaded PDF files must be 1 GB or smaller.
