Add Page Numbers to a PDF
Upload one or more PDF files and this tool adds page numbers to them. Choose one of six positions, a format such as "1", "1 / 12" or "Page 1 of 12" or your own text, the page to start from, the first number, the font size and the margin.
The numbers are added to the PDF itself: the text stays selectable and the pages keep their original quality. On rotated pages the numbers are placed upright at the edge you chose.

Can I write "Page 1 of 12" in my own language?
Yes. The ready-made formats use the language of this page, and with "Custom text" you can write anything around the number — use {n} for the page number and {total} for the last number.
How do I leave the first page without a number?
Set "Start at page" to 2. The first page stays unnumbered and the second page gets the number you set as "First number".
Is my file kept private?
Files are transferred over an encrypted connection and processed on our server. Uploaded files and results are stored for 48 hours, so you can download the result via its link, and are then deleted automatically. You can delete them yourself at any time with the delete button in the “Your files” list.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes, uploaded PDF files must be 1 GB or smaller.
