View and Edit the Properties of a PDF
Every PDF carries document properties: a title, an author, a subject, keywords, and the applications that created it. Upload a PDF to see them, change any of them, and download the updated file. The title is what browsers and PDF viewers show in the window or tab, and search engines use the properties too — so a correct title and keywords help your documents get found.
You can also remove all properties at once, for example to strip the author's name before publishing a document. Only the properties change: the pages stay exactly as they are. Files are kept for 48 hours and then deleted automatically — or you can delete them yourself at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is editing PDF metadata free?
Yes, viewing and editing the properties of your PDF files is completely free.
What is PDF metadata?
Information stored in the file about the document rather than on its pages: title, author, subject, keywords, the creating application and the PDF producer, and the creation and modification dates.
How do I remove personal information from a PDF?
Tick “Remove all properties” and save: the author, the applications used and the dates are removed from the document. Text on the pages themselves is not changed.
Is my file kept private?
Files are transferred over an encrypted connection and processed on our server. Uploaded files and results are stored for 48 hours, so you can download the result via its link, and are then deleted automatically. You can delete them yourself at any time with the delete button in the “Your files” list.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes, uploaded PDF files must be 1 GB or smaller.
